Merch Moment: Ivy Thicket

When it’s time to step up your fandom game from the logo-heavy graphic tee section at the department store, picking the right small shop is a lot like picking the right college. Design, aesthetic, fit, and people all have to factor into that decision. So if you’re looking for the Ivy Leagues of fandom-based small shops, Ivy Thicket should be one of the first stops.

Of course, if you’re a Marvel fan looking for merch on Instagram, you’ve probably seen Lindsey’s products. Playing off the idea of the popular celebrity brand Anti Social Social Club came her designs for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Social Club, which is available in almost any way you could dream to flaunt your love for our favorite boyband crew. (My personal obsession of these is the 34oz Water Jug because I am always dehydrated.)

Other product designs include a fun Phase 1-3 receipt sticker that lists all of the MCU film releases with their runtimes and the pretty much always-sold-out Infinity Gems color-changing glass. I’ve watched how quickly the Infinity Gems glass sells out and they’re so cool. Someday I will be ready in time for a drop!

However, Ivy Thicket offers merchandise for more than just the Marvel fan. Just in time for this week’s focus on comics and schools are the Class of ’86 Stranger Things Volume I & II drop. In case the last two parts of Stranger Things and the Dark Horse comics weren’t enough, Ivy Thicket’s released a collection of 80’s school wear-inspired fan products.

Torn between my long-time love Steve Harrington and my desperate desire to have been cool enough for a varsity jacket in High School, and Eddie Munson and his delicate balance of Bad Boy and Dungeons and Dragons nerd, I’m drooling over both Steve’s Letterman Jacket and the Corroded Coffin Groupie hoodie that’s dropping tonight.

However, if you’re in need of a lower price point, you can show your support for Hawkins High with stickers, keychains, and even a pair of socks! I’m going to try and snag an Eddie Munson Fan Club tote to replace my library bag tonight, for sure.

Ivy Thicket’s got some of the best fandom aesthetic clothes and accessories around. Not only is Lindsey always so nice when we’ve interacted on social media, but Ivy Thicket’s product designs are so well thought out, and find a way to embrace my inner nerd without sacrificing my personal style. Products do have a processing time of 3-4 weeks, and the shop has frequent updates for new products inspired by books, movies, television, and music. Give them a follow on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all the latest products coming out!
