Merch Moment: Back to School in Superhero Style with BoxLunch

Where I live, most kids are either already back in school, or going back this week. The local university moves in this weekend and classes start on Monday. Getting to bond over pop culture is a great ice breaker, but the downside of many comic-themed graphic tees are they’re a little too on the nose when it comes to design. However, when I’m looking for something a little more fun for my fandom products, I turn to BoxLunch. From home goods, to collectibles, accessories, or apparel, BoxLunch has things I actually enjoy owning. Plus, for every ten dollars spent online or in one of their stores, BoxLunch is able to provide one meal to local food banks. So going shopping is actually giving back to the community!

Infinity Cones Cup

Staying hydrated is a snap with this reusable cup featuring the iconic (and slightly macabre) logo for New Asgard’s ice cream parlor in Thor: Love and Thunder. Maybe even buy two, just in case you like your ice coffee so much, you smash the cup.

Superman shield wall hook

Is it time to hang up the cape for the day? Use this wall hook to keep your belongings up off the ground. Other available designs include Captain America’s Shield, Wonder Woman’s logo, Spider-Man’s mask, or Star Wars or Pokémon designs!

The Batman Built Up backpack

While utility belts are still shockingly not in style, you’ll be able to fit everything you need to go from class to crime fighting into this backpack. With a ton of pockets and compartments, this bag is suitable for any aspiring billionaire with an unhealthy obsession with bats. (Disclaimer: Pages and Panels does not condone adopting a bunch of orphans and training them as vigilantes. Please super-hero responsibly.)

Avengers-Con lanyard

Coming from the biggest fangirl in the Marvel Universe, this Ms. Marvel Avengers-con lanyard is perfect for carrying around a school ID (or a theme park ticket!) Although here’s a little heads-up for freshmen- wearing your lanyard around your neck was a dead give-away of being new to the school. But I guess if my lanyard was this cool, I might have.

Shang-Chi Long Sleeve Tee

If you like it, put ten rings on it (isn’t that how the song goes?). I personally own this shirt featuring Shang-Chi, and it’s probably my favorite piece of Marvel Merchandise. The weight of this shirt is perfect for shorts with the sleeves pushed up or long pants, long sleeves kind of days. I’ve had it for quite a few months now and it honestly just gets more comfortable as I wear it.

1 Cup-Coffee Maker

Whether you’re staying up on stake-out or studying, coffee is every student’s best friend. And if you’re not feeling pods and would rather have drip coffee, this Batman coffee maker will be your new sidekick. With a permanent drip tray and reusable filter, you can enjoy any kind of coffee your heart desires. (May I suggest Coffee Shop of Horrors for your caffeination needs?)

Spider-Man Lamp

Studying in the dark is a huge no-no. Making sure your workspace is well lit is going to make studying so much easier. This really neat USB lamp featuring Spider-Man swinging from a street lamp has topped my most-wanted list for quite some time, and you can bet that I’ll post some pictures of it in my office when I finally have a desk. It’s currently back-ordered, so I’d order it now if you want to fit it in your dorm after Winter break.
